Frankfurt (24 December 2020) - Today, MV Index Solutions GmbH (MVIS®) announced the removal of XRP from its Digital Assets Indices, effective after the close of the December review implementation date. After the SEC's lawsuit against Ripple (issuer of XRP) was revealed, exchanges started to delist the token, which might officially be deemed a security.
The following MVIS indices are affected:
- MVIS CryptoCompare Digital Assets 10 (MVDA10)
- MVIS CryptoCompare Digital Assets 100 (MVDA)
- MVIS CryptoCompare Digital Assets 100 Large-Cap (MVDALC)
- MVIS CryptoCompare Digital Assets 100 Mid-Cap (MVDAMC)
- MVIS CryptoCompare Digital Assets 100 Small-Cap (MVDASC)
- MVIS CryptoCompare Digital Assets 25 (MVDA25)
- MVIS CryptoCompare Digital Assets 5 (MVDA5)
- Weiss MVIS Top Tech Adoption Rating (MVWTAR)
In addition, XRP will also be removed from the following indices administered by MVIS:
- 21Shares Crypto Basket (HODL5)
- Crescent Crypto Market (CCMIX)
- ITI Funds Crypto (ITIFC)
XRP will not be removed from these indices:
- MVIS CryptoCompare XRP (MVXRP)
- NRI/IU Crypto-Asset (JPY) (NRIIUJ)
- NRI/IU Crypto-Asset (USD) (NRIIUU)
